As you can see I've been making use of my local standing as inspiration. Diversifying further into limited edition prints from original paintings this is one of three based in the wonderful world of of Walthamstow.
They can all be found on gomacg.com You can buy direct from me (free p&p!) or down on the street at E17 Art House or Images in Frames.
There will be a GOMACG shop appearing on the internet high st. in the not too distant future. Until then I'm easily accessible through my site or on the phone. Actual talking. On the phone!
Alongside these there is also a batch of new paintings. Created, hand-painted (in Walthamstow but not referenced as such) & coloured beautifully to enhance your life to a quite remarkable degree.
As the E17 ART Trail path leads into the third and final weekend I thought it might be a good time to re-share the Instagram video I posted last week. Particularly for those fortunate/unfortunate enough to visit and want to relive that magic/experience the magic second hand. And really quickly.
And remember . . . once seen can never be unseen.
The E17 Art Trail begins two weeks today with Preview Night. The link to the digital guide is below . . .
It really is worth a good look - there are a phenomenal 7000 exhibitors and 180 venues over 16 days.
And, since you ask I'm on page 43, exhibitor 147 on The Village Trail. Alongside recent paintings and prints I'll be showing paintings from a new series of work, adding one a week during the exhibition.
As you can see from the information above Preview Night is between 6 - 9pm. All are welcome! After that I will be showing each Sat/Sun until the 18th June between 11- 6pm.
More information on other exhibitors can be found here : www.facebook.com/e17arttrail
The UNDERDOG Gallery show is over - interest shown, sales and plans for the future made. My focus now turns to June 1st.
Of course, with my capacity for corn the illustration of this date would have to be first June I thought of - the lovely June Allyson. Followed by Carter-Cash, Tabor & Whitfield. The convoluted nonsense behind this is that my next exhibition preview night is Thursday 1st June.
CURIOUS CHARACTERS will be part of the E17 Art Trail 2017.
I will publish more information/links/maps etc. nearer the time. The intention is that I will have six new paintings (progress on these will be posted on Instagram/GOMACG if you're, ahem, curious) a few with matching Archival Giclee prints, available on a limited basis at a reduced price. And naturally they'll all be in nice pretty colours . . .
The exhibition will be open each Sat/Sun in June from the 4th to the 18th. 11am to 6pm.
Back to the studio . . .
To celebrate the Group showing at The Underdog Gallery there are 2 Limited First Edition Prints of two favourites going on sale. Just a dozen of each, 50cm x 75cm, archival pigment ink on German Etching paper. All signed in joined-up writing, numbered and never mind the quality, feel the width! But that's doing them down somewhat. Thanks to those helpful chaps at Well Hung, Hoxton these are as damn near to the paintings as possible, looking like the paint has just dried. Watching that was fun, hours of fun . . .
PRIVATE VIEW TOMORROW, FRIDAY 7TH, 6 'TIL LATE. ART, MUSIC AND DRINKS A PLENTY!
That's it, done. I've finished making an exhibition of myself. For now . . .
Firstly a genuine big thanks to all those that came, saw, and ooh'd & ahh'd. And especially to those that parted with cold, hard cash to bring some lovely art into their lives. Thank you!
And as one door closes, another opens (to another room full of cliches). I had a meeting with The Underdog Gallery yesterday and on the back of my show and the work I have done to date they have taken me on as one of their in-house artists. I will now be represented by The Underdog. Which means that they will promote, display and sell my paintings. Thank you Sammy and Kamila.
But first up, they are managing, at the last minute, to get me into their next group show - next week!
Hopefully half a dozen of my smaller pieces will get on show. It opens on Tuesday but the drinks/artist meet and greet is on Friday 7th. All welcome!
I've been busy cataloguing my work & picture files to pass over to them and all being well I should have a page on their site by Tuesday. This site will continue as well, erratically as ever.
One last really big Thank You! To all my family and friends who have been so encouraging and supportive of me. It really has meant so much to me.
Tavares (originally). Point being, if you do only have a minute, here's the Instagram whizzaround. Strap your eyeballs in for the ride!
. . . and have a morning after virtual tour of Looking At You.
Although renowned for my saint like patience - a well hello, how do you do? to brother St.Patrick on his big day - the video could've been transported on the back of slugs it was going so slow, so here is the link to Facebook.
Filmed by Shakin' Stevens.
A big GOMACG thanks to all of those who attended, showed support, drank beer and wine and stuffed chocolate biscuits into their mouths. It was a great night, so much so that I am typing through a fugged up mind. So until I can string a proper sentence to get her, together, here are a few photos.
The exhibition is now on for the next two weeks, until the 30th. Contact me through this site or phone 07790352571.
Come and see what all the fuss is about . . .
